The constitution shall be the supreme and binding authority of UMTA and any resolution, decision or policy that is inconsistent with the constitution shall not prevail. This constitution shall be subject to the provision of the laws of the Republic of Uganda, Quran and Hadith.

UGANDA MUSLIM TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION (UMTA) Accounting Manual is intended to act as a guide to the organisation in the operations of financial policies and procedures. It is intended to be a handbook for easy reference and interpretation of financial policies and procedures. It will be of use to all members of UMTA to help ensure that transactions are undertaken in the most efficient support of UMTA’s goals. These transactions will be accurately recorded and be undertaken as part of an effective review, approval and assessment framework.

Uganda Muslim Teachers’ Association (UMTA) was formed in 1988 to unite and develop all Muslim teachers in Uganda. It was the first faith based professional association to be established and registered in Uganda. The purpose for this Human Resource Policy is to outline the UMTA’s policy regarding Human Resources management.
